Why did you decide to intern at Ampere?

My initial exposure to Ampere occurred during a casual conversation with my friends about top-tier semiconductor companies. Their mention of Ampere piqued my curiosity, prompting me to delve deeper into our company information. Then, luckily, I found out, Ampere had a presence right here in Ho Chi Minh City, and our company was actively seeking interns for the Design Verification position. Therefore, I decided to give myself a chance to work in a professional and enthusiastic environment at Ampere.

What surprised you most about your internship experience?
During my internship, the mentorship provided by my supervisor, the collaborative spirit of my team, and the camaraderie among colleagues at Ampere have significantly shaped my work approach.

At Ampere, everyone is willing to actively listen and aid if needed. Moreover, my colleagues have not only broadened my perspectives but also deepened my understanding of the semiconductor field. I am immensely grateful for the support I’ve received from my fellow team members in the SYS Team - Design Verification team. Their encouragement inspires me to fully immerse myself in the enriching environment that Ampere offers.

What are three words to describe Ampere?

Supportive, Collaborative, Dynamic!

What do you enjoy outside of work?
I also appreciate our post-work gatherings, where we discuss casual life and share humorous stories. During these moments, I feel relaxed and connected to my colleagues, regardless of our roles, no gaps between leader with team members or even interns.

Stop doubting yourself! Let’s embrace the opportunity to explore the whole new world and step beyond your comfort zone!

Major: Computer Engineering
Team at Ampere: CPU Architecture (Portland Office)

Why did you decide to intern at Ampere?

I met one of the lead architects at a conference last year, who left an impression on me. After researching the company for a few months, listening to their Amplified podcast, and examining their products lineup, I was sold not only on their technical mission statement and product roadmap, but more importantly on their intent in establishing and maintaining a culture of inclusivity, growth, and apprenticeship. Interviewing with the company only confirmed my initial findings, and so it was an easy decision to go with Ampere.

What surprised you most about your internship experience?
The sheer depth and breadth of talent at the company is unbelievable. Whether in engineering, people & culture, corporate affairs, supply chain and operations, or executive board, Ampere’s ability to assemble individuals with deep industry experience and exceptional track record in their respective fields is nothing short of remarkable.

Moreover, Ampere is a relatively young and small company, but already very mature. The opportunity to do work that has potential for direct impact on the products right from the start, even as an intern, is extraordinary. I, and the other interns, have already been challenged to solve real problems that the company faces, all while being supported by our more extremely experienced teammates.

What are three words to describe Ampere?

Authentic, innovative, intentional.

What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with loved ones, being active, exploring philosophy and psychology, and learning about and experiencing various cultures and subcultures.

Any advice you’d give to future interns?
Be open to all opportunities to connect with coworkers. Everyone, from the other interns all the way to the executives, is simply incredible. A lot of learning and growth can happen over a random walk or lunch with anyone in this company.

What surprised you most about your internship experience?
The level of autonomy and responsibility I was entrusted with, enabling me to contribute meaningfully alongside experienced professionals.

Innovative, Pioneering, and Collaborative.
