What's the culture like at Ampere? I appreciate the open-minded and "can-do" attitude that permeates our culture. Ampere is a place where ideas and thoughts flow freely and yet can converge quickly into innovative products, features, or solutions for our customers. It is also a place where anyone can participate, ask tough questions, and get responses without being bound by the shackles of job level, seniority, or experience.
Can you share a recent project you worked on and what you enjoyed about it? It's hard to pick just one, but recently, I worked with Yogesh, Sanjay, and many others on several techniques to maximize the performance-per-watt of our AmpereOneX processors.
What impact does your work have on Ampere’s overall mission and goals? Our extended power team, including architecture, modeling, analysis, circuit, and post-silicon experts, delivers best-in-class power efficiency and performance-per-watt across all our silicon products, which is central to Ampere's mission.
What do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, sampling good food and wine, and recently, coaching my kid’s team in the Lego Robotics challenge.

What's the culture like at Ampere?
At Ampere, the culture is centered on innovation and collaboration, all driven by a common mission. One of the standout aspects is the trust the leadership team places in its knowledge domain leaders. We are encouraged to push boundaries and explore new ideas, even when they challenge existing beliefs, with full support from our leadership. This approach allows us to succeed in some endeavors and learn and improve from others—truly embodying the spirit of innovation!
Moreover, Ampere offers abundant opportunities for growth and development, whether you are a recent college graduate or an experienced professional. Interns and new grads are entrusted with real deliverables on actual projects, supported by senior engineers who act as mentors to ensure their success. This is the best way to build trust and engagement with the company, fostering a culture that values continuous learning and development.
Can you share a recent project you worked on and what you enjoyed about it?
Recently, we've been defining the next generation of energy-efficient Ampere processors, pushing power and performance boundaries. It was a challenging task, but the team thrived by exploring new ideas and developing new capabilities. The best part was our unified approach, focusing on the product rather than individual achievements. Whether it's an existing or new product, the value to customers is always our priority.
What impact does your work have on Ampere’s overall mission and goals?
Developing new capabilities and enhancing existing ones to improve energy efficiency and performance is crucial to Ampere's overall mission and goals. My work, particularly in product definition and architecture development, directly contributes to these objectives. The focus on power is especially important because Power Architecture is a multidisciplinary domain that spans various technologies—from power delivery and firmware to RTL design, thermal architecture, and post-silicon characterization.
This field offers a unique opportunity to work across different technologies, such as core, IO’s, interconnects, and inter-die interconnects. Finding the right balance between power and performance tailored to specific customer usage scenarios keeps the work both challenging and exciting. There’s never a dull day as a power architect, and this dynamic environment is integral to driving Ampere's mission forward.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy photography, cycling and running. We as a family love to spend time outdoors with friends – hiking, going to the beach and other activities.

What's the culture like at Ampere?
At Ampere, the culture is both customer-centric and transparent, fostering an environment where open communication is encouraged, even when sharing challenging news. We work on leading-edge technology and tools, continuously developing innovative solutions and pushing the limits of technology. This dynamic atmosphere supports a shared mission of collaboration and innovation, empowering us to explore new ideas and drive progress.
Can you share a recent project you worked on and what you enjoyed about it?
I have a unique role that involves power management feature pathfinding through productization. I work on multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with almost all teams at Ampere. There is never a dull moment as my tasks range from architecture definition to system power optimization and customer enablement.
What impact does your work have on Ampere’s overall mission and goals?
Power management features are critical to Ampere’s mission of providing industry-leading energy-efficient cloud server products. My work directly impacts Ampere's Performance Per Watt (PPW) metric, a key measure of energy efficiency. Power is the biggest challenge in the semiconductor industry and developing solutions that improve power efficiency will differentiate Ampere's products from the competition. This focus on power not only advances our mission but also positions us as leaders in the field.
What do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy spending time with friends and family, outdoor activities like hiking, gardening, and playing volleyball, as well as volunteer work, cooking, and visiting new places.
And we are hiring 🙌🏼 — Now more than ever, the world needs a new level of predictable performance and efficiency as we look to build the modern cloud.
