Ampere® has released a new version of its flagship AmpereOne® processor with 12 memory channels. As the company mentioned during its annual update in May, it is building on its AmpereOne® product roadmap to provide continued innovation around sustainable, power-efficient computing for the Cloud and AI. The new 192-core 12-memory channel AmpereOne® M expands the product family by offering increased memory bandwidth, beneficial for many applications, especially artificial intelligence. This results in even better performance for data intense workloads like AI inference.
Designed for the new era of AI Compute and an energy-constrained world, AmpereOne® carries forward Ampere’s performance-per-watt leadership, delivering unprecedented efficiency and performance. Additionally, the AmpereOne® family delivers best-in-class performance per rack, making it ideal for compute environments requiring the highest level of consistent and predictable performance at scale.
The addition of 12 memory channels is just the beginning of what’s to come for Ampere. Looking ahead, the company will extend the 12-memory channel platform with its upcoming 256-core AmpereOne® CPU. This will be followed by AmpereOne® Aurora, which will feature up to 512 cores paired with Ampere’s scalable mesh and AI IP. With industry-leading products and a disruptive roadmap, Ampere is delivering an innovative portfolio of technology spanning traditional cloud native capabilities all the way to AI.
