Mindful listening goes beyond hearing, involving ears, eyes, heart, and undivided attention, as beautifully illustrated by the traditional Chinese character for "listen." This includes making eye contact and observing body language. Empathy is crucial for shifting from problem-solving to problem-finding, enhancing sales by understanding customers' perspectives to address the right issues.

Inclusion means allowing a thousand flowers to bloom by adapting leadership to meet diverse employee needs. This involves empowering experienced individuals with challenging tasks and guiding junior employees with feedback. We explore options, address issues, and ensure plans meet customer demand, inventory, and manufacturing needs. By advising on the best path and executing it through manufacturing plans, inventory management, and timely shipments, we directly support Ampere's mission and goals.

In my leadership role at Ampere, I rely heavily on strong listening skills and cross-group collaboration, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. Plans are only as good as their execution, so disciplined follow-through and communication are essential. Project management is intuitive for me, as I naturally organize and plan, assessing needs and tracking progress. Diplomacy, a skill I've developed over time, is essential for fostering teamwork in Ampere's collaborative environment. I focus on practical problem-solving and clear communication. Continuous learning has helped me build a strong foundation in design and debugging, enabling me to tackle new challenges and prepare for future projects.

The key word for me is "outside"! I thrive on movement and enjoy activities like running, tennis, climbing, and skiing, especially when I'm with my family. I've also developed an obsession with plants, to the point where my kids joke that our house is turning into a jungle. Beyond that, I love food and cooking, particularly for large gatherings, and I occasionally dabble in handwriting as well.

My job is to ensure the designs we tape out are robust on silicon and they work seamlessly once they reach our customer's hands. Taping out a very high-quality design is essential for us to deliver our products on time. So, my team's work has a direct impact on the bottom line of our company.

In my leadership role at Ampere, I rely on strong project and people management skills, focusing on thorough planning, resource allocation, and proactive issue identification. Instilling a diligent mindset in my team is key, especially in knowing when testing is truly complete. The mantra "try harder" is central to our verification work. I've developed these skills through industry experience and retrospectives, learning from feedback and persisting until all options are explored. I aim to instill this mindset in my team.

Outside of work, I love traveling and exploring new places. Each year, I aim to visit at least one destination from my bucket list with my family. I also enjoy gardening, particularly growing vegetables and fruits, which keeps me busy during Oregon's relatively short growing season.
