Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Ampere processors and Oracle combine predictable performance, near-linear scaling, and secure architecture with the best price-performance in the market.

Ampere A2 Platform: Ampere has successfully tested over 130 Docker containers on the OCI Ampere A2 platform, powered by AmpereOne® CPUs, confirming the maturity of the ecosystem on these instances. These containers include common software packages found in many cloud native stacks.

Ampere A1 Platform: Ampere has also verified a set of 130+ images running on the OCI Ampere A1) platform, powered by Ampere Altra® CPUs, through daily regressions, demonstrating the robustness of the ecosystem on A1 instances.

Both platforms support a diverse set of Linux workloads, such as web servers, open-source databases, in-memory applications, big data analytics, gaming, media, and more.

OCI provides easy access to this infrastructure through the following programs:

  • Free Tier Program: Allows prospective customers to prototype, test, and try out the A1 and A2 platforms before committing to a purchase.
  • Always Free Tier: Offers shapes with 4 cores and 24GB of memory at no cost, making it easy to integrate small shapes without additional expenses (A1 only).
  • Arm Accelerator Program: Provides credits for up to a year, enabling in-depth exploration of the unique infrastructure (A1 only).
