What is System On Chip?

A System on Chip (SoC) is an integrated circuit that integrates all components of a computer or other electronic system into a single chip. It typically includes a CPU, GPU, memory, input/output ports, and other components like modems or specialized accelerators, all on one semiconductor die.

Why is System On Chip important?

SoCs are critical for modern portable and embedded devices, such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and IoT devices, because they enable significant reductions in power consumption, size, and cost compared to systems built with discrete components.
