Agentic AI

What is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to operate with a high degree of autonomy. These systems can identify goals, plan action sequences and execute steps to achieve objectives, often with minimal human input compared to conventional AI. Unlike AI primarily focused on executing predefined scripts, Agentic AI can generate its own subsequent actions and adapt its approach based on new information or changing circumstances.

For example, Agentic AI could assist in putting together the itinerary for a business trips, suggesting flights, accommodations, and transportation options.

Why is Agentic AI Important?

Agentic AI is important because it enables a more dynamic and adaptive form of automation, building on the capabilities of traditional AI., It can manage multi-step processes and more complex tasks orchestrating its own actions, thereby reducing the need for constant human intervention in operational workflows This contributes to:

  • Increased Efficiency: By automating and coordinating routine processes It can streamline operations and free up resources.
  • Enhanced Responsiveness: It can analyze real-time data to adjust its plans or provide more timely insights, supporting more informed human decision-making.
  • Scalable Task Management: Agentic systems can be configured to handle a broader range of interrelated tasks, allowing for the automation of more intricate workflows across various domains.
